Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how xutil ("the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Information We Do Not Collect
xutil is designed with a privacy-first approach. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect: - Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) - Device identifiers or advertising IDs - Usage analytics or behavioral data - Location data - Network diagnostic results or query history
On-Device Processing
Most network diagnostic operations, calculations, and analyses are performed locally on your device. Results are not sent to any external server operated by us. When the App makes network requests (e.g., checking SSL certificates, performing HTTP requests), these requests go directly from your device to the target servers you specify.
API Server
Certain functions that cannot be performed directly on iOS (such as SNMP trap transmission and some DNS operations) are executed through our API server. These functions are labeled "API" within the App. When using these functions, the parameters you specify (e.g., target host, port) are sent to our API server to perform the operation on your behalf. Our API server does not log, store, or retain any request content, parameters, or results. Data is processed in real time and discarded immediately after the response is returned to your device.
Third-Party Services
The App may connect to third-party services solely to perform the network diagnostic functions you initiate (e.g., querying DNS servers, connecting to web servers). Most of these connections are made directly from your device. For API-labeled functions, connections are made through our API server, which acts solely as a relay and does not log any data.
Data Storage
Any data stored by the App (such as favorites, input history, or SSL monitoring targets) is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us. This data can be removed by deleting the App.
App Store
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information as described in their privacy policy. We do not have access to any data collected by Apple.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
